Who are we?
The Gull’s Grocery is a worker’s co-operative which opened in February 2022.
Food is human
The Gull’s Grocery believes that good food should be affordable, accessible, and a part of our community.
But more than that. We believe the people who grow, pick, transport and serve our food must be treated with respect and paid fair wages.
Sustainable
We stand for sustainable practices. Our refills reduce plastic waste while the majority of our fresh fruit and veg can be bought individually.

Pride
We are a trans led organisation actively working for diversity, equality, and transparency in our business.
Waste Not Want Not
Like our gull mascot, we pick up what others do not want and find uses for it. We endeavour to buy used, give away surplus and keep as much out of the bins as possible.
We are a co-operative
Our workers own and run The Gull’s Grocery. We prioritise long term jobs and good wages. Every worker, no matter their job title, is paid the same wage.
